My name is Yvette, and I am the manager at Tudor Court Care Home.
I have worked in Health and Social Care for a considerable number of
years and have always loved supporting people to lead their best lives.
I am a qualified lecturer, who used to deliver life skills programmes for young adults with additional needs and I have a NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
It is important to me to work as part of a team, all striving for
similar goals when supporting people in care, most importantly, is that
people we care for are safe, living with dignity and respect and
experiencing a life that is meaningful to them.
Our mission is to provide an environment full of warmth, interest, love,
and security. Our staff are empathetic and compassionate, treating
everyone as an individual, and encouraging them to flourish and grow.
Food is at the heart of Tudor Court, with a varied and nutritious menu catering to the varied dietary needs of our residents. We aim to bring home cooked meals, variety and choice, and new dietary experiences to our mealtimes. New menus are rotated regularly with residents consulted on what their favourite meals are.
Snacks, supper and fresh fruit is always on hand when needed.
Tudor Court has been a registered care home since 1946, giving continual care to Paignton for all that time.
The home has lived through decades of change and is a testament to the care and commitment of all the previous owners, management and staff teams who have kept the standard of care so high that it has continued through all those eras.
The current management team have over 30 years of experience in the industry and are committed to bring the same level of care that the residents at Tudor Court have always enjoyed.
As Devon is such a beautiful county, we often get referrals from across the UK. We welcome anyone, from any county who would like to join us in Paignton and make the most of the sea air and sunshine. We are able to work with both private and social clients with the support of social workers where needed. If you think this may work for you then please don't hesitate to call the office for a chat and to see if we have any availability.
Tracy leads our activities with an array of topical and fun projects. We enjoy baking and making, as well as regular trips into the local town and down to the seafront. It's important that all our residents get the opportunity to enjoy everything that life has to offer, and that they are able to choose what they do (and don't) want to do.
We often find that even the most resistant will soon join in when they see the fun that others are having, and all staff members are trained to encourage and support residents in this.
